SUMMARY

This position is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the refrigeration system while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to policies and procedure. Must be familiar with ammonia, plant ammonia system, electrical refrigeration, and other industrial maintenance.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Monitor, operate, repair ammonia system, and refrigeration equipment including but not limited to Compressor, Evaporator, Condenser, Piping system, Insulation system and General equipment related to Ammonia system.
• Comply with all safety, food safety, GMP and SQF
• Prefer experience with plant compressed air system and all water supply system (Chill water, hot water, city water, and glycol system).
• Be able to wear a Respirator (Self Contained Breathing Apparatus). Completion of respirator training certification will be required.
• Must have strong communication skills to be able to communicate with various members of management, Quality Assurance, vendors and USDA. The applicant must be able to understand technical training manual.

REQUIREMENT

• Refrigeration or Process Safety Management (PSM) experience is preferred not required.
• Experience or education on any refrigeration system is a plus, with a willingness to learn the ammonia refrigeration trade.
• Must have a minimum of (6) months of continuous work experience in maintenance with a single employer within the last (12) months or currently attending graduated from an industrial maintenance training program in the last (3) year.

Pay: $23.00 - $32.00 per hour
